Refund Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Your 14-day right under UK law
Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, when you buy a digital download from us you have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel and receive a full refund — no reason needed.
Because Gloss is digital content delivered instantly, this statutory 14-day right applies for as long as you have notactivated your licence. At checkout you expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that activating your licence within the 14-day period ends your statutory right to cancel under these Regulations. Put simply: if you don't activate, your full 14-day cancellation right stands.
2. Activated already? Our 7-day courtesy window
Once you activate your licence the statutory cancellation right above no longer applies. Even so, as a courtesy we give you a no-questions-asked 7-day refund windowfrom the date of purchase, whether or not you've activated. Tell us within 7 days that Gloss isn't for you and we'll refund you in full — no reason required.
3. How to request a refund
- Email support@trygloss.techfrom the address you used to purchase, within your applicable window: 14 days if you haven't activated, or 7 days if you have.
- Include the licence key + order reference from your receipt.
- We'll confirm within two working days and refund via the original payment method, typically in 5–10 business days.
- Your licence will be revoked on the day the refund is issued.
4. Faulty or misdescribed products
Separately from the cancellation windows above, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights that activation can never remove. If Gloss is faulty, not as described, or doesn't do what we told you it would, you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund — even after the windows above have closed. In that spirit we also consider refunds case-by-case if:
- there's a genuine defect we can't fix in a reasonable time;
- we materially change functionality you relied on and you don't wish to continue;
- the app is incompatible with your system in a way we didn't disclose.
Email support@trygloss.tech describing the problem and we'll work with you. We'd rather keep you as a happy user than force-hold a refund on a broken experience.
5. Refund exclusions
We reserve the right to refuse refunds where we reasonably believe the request is fraudulent or abusive (e.g. repeated buy-refund-buy-refund patterns, licences being deactivated and resold, chargeback threats in bad faith). Where we decline, we will explain the reason in writing.
6. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled a refund request, email legal@trygloss.tech. You can also escalate to the Citizens Advice consumer service on 0808 223 1133, or bring proceedings in the small claims court as described in our Terms of Service.
